Kansas Athletics, Inc. is seeking qualified applicants for a Student-Athlete Wellness Coordinator. The Student-Athlete Wellness Coordinator is responsible for working closely with the Head Team Physician, Physician Assistant and assigned team athletic trainer to ensure student-athletes receive appropriate mental health services and support. Primary duties also include collaboration in the rehabilitation of a student-athlete when needed, coordination/monitoring attendance at counseling appointments and the oversight of case management teams.
Required: Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Social Work, Counseling, or a closely related field; A minimum of two years’ experience in the mental health field; Current State of Kansas Licensure (LMSW, LSCSW) or the ability to obtain licensure within 60 days of hire; Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of an interdisciplinary team; Ability to work an irregular schedule, including nights and weekends, as required; Ability to travel on occasion with teams as required.
Preferred: A minimum of five years’ experience in the mental health field working with diverse population (racial, ethnic, gender identified, etc.); Experience working with collegiate population
