BEHAVIORAL HEALTH CONSULTANT-MASTERS: The purpose of this position is to serve as part of the ambulatory treatment team providing behavioral health consultation and direct service to patients and families in a physician office. Duties include consultation, assessment, brief individual/family/group counseling/psychotherapy, education, prevention, medical exam room-based intervention, referral and service coordination with other community agencies and programs. Assist with program development and evaluation as directed. Perform other clinical, administrative, educational and/or research duties (commensurate with training and ethical scope of practice) as needed and directed.
EDUCATION: Master's Degree Other Psychology, Clinical Social Work, Counseling Other
EXPERIENCE: Up to 1 year Professional Other Psychology, Clinical Social Worker, Counseling
SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE: Generalist knowledge of a wide variety behavioral health conditions and evidence based treatment modalities to serve diverse groups of patients across the lifespan. Must be able to work in a team based integrated brief treatment model.
DEPARTMENT SPECIFIC PREFERENCES: Desire a Behavioral Health provider with 2-3 years experience. Prefer a provider experienced with chronic disease management coaching within an integrated healthcare system. Ideal candidate will be comfortable with ambiguity and has the ability to flex within a new role. Strong communication and customer service skills.
