Clinician - Social Worker at Gould Farm
We are looking for a dynamic practitioner with a passion for recovery and an unwavering belief in people’s ability to heal to join our cohesive and dedicated clinical team at Gould Farm. Our program integrates psychiatric rehabilitation and trauma informed clinical therapy within an open setting that requires an ability to tolerate risk and change, with the patience to handle a pace of healing that is individual, compassionate and strong while holding the belief in healing and recovery. In a supportive community environment made up of residents, staff and their families, located on 700 acres, including a model forest and a working farm in the beautiful Berkshires, we help adults with mental health challenges like depression, bipolar disorder, schizoaffective disorder and schizophrenia begin to rebuild and regain their lives. Gould Farm offers a full continuum of services, with a structured transition.in Boston and the Berkshires. This special place offers an opportunity for clinical practice unlike any other, in an intentional community and structured work program which fosters pre-vocational skills, psychiatric rehabilitation and promotes recovery.
Reporting to the Clinical Director, the Clinician will maintain a case load of 8-10, providing a continuum of coaching, counseling and traditional therapy to guests in conjunction with the attending psychiatrist. The Clinician will assist in recommending, designing, implementing and documenting treatment activities that support Gould Farm’s recovery model and guest development. Must be willing to promote the values and spirit of Gould Farm, and to actively participate as a member of the community.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team to conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, discharge planning and on-going connection for each guest served. • Work closely with the families of guests to ensure all voices are included in a network of care and to promote guest well-being. • On call rotation is a required part of the schedule.
This position requires residency at the Farm as a condition of employment (living at Gould Farm in provided housing). Should suitable housing not be available at the time of hire, agreement to moving to the Farm as soon as suitable housing is available is a contingency of employment.
