Job Summary: The Social Work Oversight position will provide care plan assessments and management, as well as consultation for staff regarding participants.
Position is part-time: working 5-10 hours per week.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Participate in the multi-disciplinary Care Plan teams through weekly care plan meetings.
Provide consultation with staff in the following areas:
Educate and assist staff in adapting with participants’ behavioral changes.
General feedback and guidance regarding participants and care plans.
Provide supervision of BSW/MSW student interns in the following areas (if applicable):
Conduct weekly supervision meetings.
Consultation support in-person or via phone with students.
Discuss and provide input regarding student’s performance with school supervisor.
Establish learning opportunities within the Adult Day Health Care setting for students.
Conduct end of quarter/semester student evaluations.
Perform related duties upon request.
Responsible for maintaining relationships with many individuals. Frequent contacts include supervisors, coworkers, participants, case managers, physicians/doctor’s office staff, family members/care providers, and community members. A professional demeanor and flexible approach are required, as is knowledge of who to refer to when faced with an unfamiliar issue.
Working in a semi-open office setting and handling multiple tasks. Sitting for prolonged periods of time at a desk/computer workstation.
Physical requirements include: walking, standing, twisting, bending, and/or squatting; using repetitive arm, hand and finger movements. Must be able to lift 25 lbs. comfortably.
SKILLS AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in social work, counseling, or a related field and two years of experience in a human services field (minimum requirement)
Master's degree in social work, gerontology, or other human services field, or counseling and at least one year of professional work experience (preferred)
Practical working knowledge of the Washington Administrative Code for Adult Day Health (preferred)
Prior experience working with aging adults and people with disabilities (preferred)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Current CPR/First Aid Certification, TB Testing, and Food Handler’s Permit within 30 days of hire.
Must pass DSHS background Check (and FBI fingerprint check if a Washington resident for less than three (3) years.
