Johns Hopkins Community Physicians is currently seeking a full-time Sr. Social Worker. Provides clinical Social Work services throughout the JHCP clinical sites as part of an inter-disciplinary medical team. Performs administrative duties as assigned, to support the Social Work Department. Provides clinical Supervision for assigned Social Work staff and evaluates the clinical competency of social work supervises, annually and/or as needed. Reviews and monitors time entries (Kronos) and inputs approved staff leave requests. Participates in the hiring and candidate selection process. Assists in the orientation and training of new hires & MSW Interns. Assures that students and colleagues follow approved guidelines and work in accordance to the NASW Code of Ethics, the policies and procedures of Johns Hopkins Community Physicians, and school agreements.
Current State of Maryland license with the Board of Social Work Examiners at the LCSW-C level.
Master's degree in Social Work is required.
Four years of post-graduate Social Work experience in a health care setting, preferably ambulatory care. Two years of supervisory experience. Understanding of social work values and principles. Able to draw from educational and professional experiences the tools needed to promote change in a social context.
