EEG Technologist PRN Rotating at The Hospitals of Providence Memorial Campus El Paso TX
The EEG Technologist performs neurodiagnostic testing. Studies are performed on patients of all ages, both outpatients and inpatients. This individual functions independently to safely operate medical equipment to record sleep/drowsy/awake physiology. This entails the application of recording devices to the patient, cleaning of equipment and monitoring of neurodiagnostic data. The EEG Technologist II must recognize pathology when it occurs in the laboratory and respond with appropriate interventions to ensure patient safety.
High School Diploma or GED; Prior EEG training and experience in healthcare related field preferred
Required: 1 year clinical experience in healthcare related field.
EEG Certification and/or Registration Preferred
