Responsible for facilitation a patientï¿½s participation in a comprehensive Therapeutic Recreation Program, primarily in Behavioral Health.Evaluates a patientï¿½s pre-morbid leisure lifestyle and provides goals and objectives directed at a therapeutically designed recreation/leisure orientated treatment which assists patients in attaining optimum level of functioning.Communicates and assists in resolving problems.Demonstrates effective resource utilization that is critical to operational stability within the organization.Participates in performance improvement and program growth.
Must possess a Bachelor of Science in Therapeutic Recreation and must be eligible for certification nationally as a C.T.R.S. or holds a Masters Degree in related field (i.e. Music Therapy, Art Therapy)
EXPERIENCE: Minimum of one (1) year experience in hospital or behavioral health setting
REQUIRED CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE/REGISTRATION:Current AHA BLS card
