Established in 1946, with headquarters in Crystal City, VA, the American Institutes for Research (AIR) is an independent, nonpartisan, not-for-profit organization that conducts behavioral and social science research on important social issues and delivers technical assistance and capacity building services domestically and internationally in health, social development, education, and workforce to a growing roster of clients and partners.
AIR’s Senior Technical Assistance Consultant will serve as a subject matter expert on training and technical assistance (TTA) focused on suicide prevention and mental health promotion. The candidate will have a broad range of TTA experience related to the public health approach to suicide prevention. Expertise in cross cutting approaches to suicide and violence prevention also required. This position will require the ability to provide TTA to diverse audiences working with state and national partners.

Candidates hired for the position might initially start working remotely but will ultimately have the option to work remotely or from one of AIR’s office locations in the following metro areas: Washington, DC, North Bethesda/Rockville, Chicago, Boston, Oakland or Austin (TX).
