ResponsibilitiesFOCUS, or Families OverComing Under Stress, is a program that helps military families manage the challenges of deployment and reintegration. As the FOCUS Resilience Trainer, your key duties include: •Facilitate delivery of the FOCUS model, a manualized family training intervention and group workshops for military parents and children •Complete and document individual intakes/orientations and psychological assessments with family participants and service encounters •Assist with program outreach within the military community •Oversee and/or ensure tracking and monitoring families' participation in services •Complete short-term tracking of families that participate in the program NOTE: •This position is based in Honolulu, Hawaii •This project is funded by the United States Department of Defense – Office of the Secretary of Defense. By contract, this position is limited to U.S. citizens. •May convert to career. Qualifications•This project is funded by the United States Department of Defense – Office of the Secretary of Defense. By contract, this position is limited to U.S. citizens. •Ph.D. or M.A. in Psychology or related fields. •Experience and/or knowledge about working with military populations. •Experience in the area of family and/or child services. •Experience delivering interventions to family and/or children in individual and/or group settings. •Experience working with children, teens and adults. •Excellent written and verbal communication skills. •Must have valid driver’s license, auto insurance and access to an automobile. •Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and Access. •Ability to work flexible hours.
