Performs routine duties and delegated assignments under the supervision of the program manager, unit nurse and/or other designee to help meet the mission and goals of quality care and service in Behavioral Services. Responsible for providing safe, effective and timely actions to ensure safe observation of medication self-administration under the direction of the staff RN.Participates in the admission procedure.
- Maintains safety on unit and off the unit
- Completes day-to-day unit operations
- Performs basic patient care routines and procedures according to treatment plan
- Maintains a therapeutic relationship with all patients
- Functions as a supportive team member by utilizing effective communication, modeling and promoting an atmosphere of openness and supportive team work.
- Demonstrates ability to provide care or service adjusting approaches to reflect developmental level and cultural differences of population served
