About Advanced Recovery Systems
About UsAn integrated behavioral healthcare management company, Advanced Recovery Systems was founded in December 2013 by Dr. Mitchell Eisenberg and Dr. Lewis Gold. We put behavioral health front and center, providing assistance to people with substance abuse issues, addictions and mental health concerns. With facilities in various regions of the U.S., we have been furthering this mission since our inception, applying our advanced approach to patient care. Every facility in the Advanced Recovery Systems network strives to provide the highest quality of care, using evidence-based therapeutic models that really work. Our goal is to help men, women and adolescents live healthy, happy lives without the burden of substance abuse or mental illness.WHAT WE TREATSUBSTANCE ABUSESubstance abuse includes prescription and illicit drugs as well as alcohol. Behavioral health issues are those that can be amended when people change their day-to-day habits, and substance abuse and addiction issues are part of the behavioral health model. In 2012 alone, close to 2 million people enrolled in treatment facilities due to substance abuse, according to the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Admin...istration (SAMHSA). This means there are people out there just like you who are dealing with addictions and working hard to get better. But there are also others out there who are still mired in their addiction habits and who aren’t quite ready to start the work of recovery.WHAT PEOPLE SEEK TREATMENT FORAlcoholAlcohol + DrugsMarijuanaHeroinOther OpiatesAmphetaminesCocaineOtherCO-OCCURRING DISORDERSA co-occurring disorder is a condition that occurs simultaneously with another condition, such as alcoholism with depression, or drug addiction with anxiety. A study in the Canadian Journal of Psychiatry suggests that the prevalence of co-occurring disorders is about 18.5 percent in addiction treatment facilities. For people with these conditions, the lessons need to come on two fronts. They need to know about the addiction, the mental health issue, and how the two interact. That’s an area in which Advanced Recovery Systems excels. As an evidence-based organization focused on co-occurring treatment, we can provide care that can transform even the toughest of cases.EATING DISORDERSOur evidence-based approach applies to eating disorders as well. According to the National Association of Anorexia Nervosa and Associated Disorders ANAD, over 24 million people suffer from an eating disorder. People with these concerns often need very specialized care that incorporates both medical and mental health interventions, but only 35 percent of people with eating disorders get care in a specialized treatment facility. As the reach of Advanced Recovery System expands, that number may go down.
