19 beds in the main section and 7 in section two.
Provides care to 30,000 patients annually, average 80 daily.
50% of patients are mental health.
Multidisciplinary approach to all emergencies.
Care delivery team: Board Certified/Eligible ED physicians, RNs, ER Techs, Health Unit Coordinators, Psych Associates, 4-5 patients per RN.
This position will be working 56 hours every two weeks on the rotating day/evening shift, 8 hour shifts and every other weekend. The majority of the shifts are on the evening shift. The position is eligible for benefits.
The Senior Psychiatric Associate is responsible for the delivery of patient care, and promotion of a therapeutic environment as delegated by and under the supervision of the RN so that the goals and objectives of treatment are achieved on each unit as assigned. This includes but is not limited to the care of the unique behavioral needs within both acute medical and acute behavioral units.
BLS (basic life support)
Experience with working emotionally disturbed persons and at least one year of experience as a Psych Associate.
