Incumbent is responsible for the direct supervision of all professional behavioral health staff assigned to the Caregiver Support Program (CSP). The incumbent has direct administrative responsibilities over the day to day operation of this program and is responsible for the development and implementation of the program, in alignment with VHA, VISN and Station's policies, and procedures. If you ARE a current, permanent VHA or Federal Agency Employee, you should apply to announcement: CBST-11105119-21-AH Duties may include but are not limited to: Manages and directs the work of program staff to accomplish program goals and objectives as well as program's performance improvement activities. Manages the day to day operations of the CSP Program regarding issues such as coverage, clinic profiles, environment of care and time and attendance of employees through approval or disapproval of annual, sick, authorized absence, and other leaves. Develops and implements information systems to track service activities including applications, referrals, patient demographics, equipment utilization and patient satisfaction. Assists the Service Chief in the development, implementation, and evaluation of clinical guidelines and protocols to establish appropriate utilization of services. Uses sound judgment in the interpretation of trends and patterns; the application of guidelines; and the recommendation of program enhancements. Assists the Service Chief with performing duties related to the review, monitoring, analysis, planning and assessment of the CSP Program for key project activities related to the planning, development, and implementation of the project component. Uses skill to perform program analysis, development, review, research, design, and contact work as possible with various agencies. Provides professional social work services for veterans and families/significant others. Performs a wide range of services and provides technical assistance to State, local, and private agencies, and universities. Work Schedule: 8:00AM-4:30PM, Monday -Friday.
