Great Life Counseling Center is offering a very unique group private practice opportunity for up to 2 gifted & highly motivated Postdoctoral Fellows or Early Career Psychologists (i.e., Ph.D. or Psy.D. that has been licensed less than 3 years) with a strong interest in specializing in couples/marital and trauma therapy.
Great Life Counseling Center (GLCC) is a private counseling center based in Addison, TX, which provides a variety of psychological services and specializes in marriage/couples, faith and existential exploration, child/family issues, and individual adjustment to life transitions. The selected candidates will be offered a 12 or 24 month 1099 contract position, which will include an opportunity to learn how to build a private practice within the business structure & support of the GLCC team.
The selected candidate may be offered the opportunity to stay with GLCC longer term, if there is a great mutual fit and core staff openings are available. Regardless, the selected candidate will receive both clinical and private practice business training that will equip them to launch their own solo practice by the end of their contract.

Responsibilities and Duties
Applicants must be self-starters who desire to learn how to build and maintain a full time private practice (i.e., 25-30 clients per week). The group's mission statement is 'to strengthen relationships and enhance lives by fostering healthier families and communities'. In pursuit of this mission, we are currently looking for applicants who have had training and a significant amount of field experience working with couples and adult trauma. While psychotherapy is the primary modality of treatment, the selected candidate must have sufficient training in assessment and be open to taking on at least one assessment per month as well as utilize assessment tools appropriately with psychotherapy clients. Networking and public speaking are also important skills for growing business so solid skills or interest in growing in these areas is required.
Additional Salary/Compensation Information: Monthly compensation will vary based on a percentage of total revenue collected. First year clinicians will be offered a stipend base for the first 6 months; $65-75k is a conservative range based on the performances of recent postdocs and $75-85k is a conservative range based on the success of recent early career psychologists.
Applicants must have earned their doctorate degree in psychology (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) from an APA accredited program or a doctorate in marriage and family therapy (D.M.F.T.) from a COAMFTE accredited program. The degree must be conferred no later than Sept. 15th of the upcoming training year. D.M.F.T. clinicians must be licensed by the Texas state board prior to start date. Strong writing skills are required and ample experience with child and adult psychological assessment (cognitive, adaptive, LD/ADHD evals, career assessments, etc.) are preferred, as is the ability to learn quickly and integrate new information and techniques. Supervision training and experience is also preferred.
