The Well-being Advisor participates in all client and staff-related aspects of the Behavioral Health and Well-being program. This role helps to support practices and services that provide counseling, support and resource navigation to employees to improve patient well-being and promote appropriate utilization of behavioral health resources. This role will also serve as a resource to employees and their family members by:
Creating personal well-being plans, scheduling appointments, and make follow-up calls after appointments
Triaging clients to primary care when indicated or specialty behavioral health resources
Conducting well-being check-ins and providing ongoing monitoring to those with more complex or chronic conditions.
Act as a proactive partner and liaison between the employer and the behavioral health needs of their employees and family members
The Well-being Advisor possesses knowledge and practice of generalist mental health interventions, understands the impact of physical and mental health on behavioral health conditions, and has experience assisting employees with workplace-related issues and concerns.
Promotes ethical mental and behavioral health practice as defined by the licensing and professional organizations, seeking to advance the field of mental health care through knowledge of ethics, theories, values, and current medical practices, with particular emphasis on improving the overall well-being of an employee population.
Responds to employee and family member requests for assistance and consults on workplace issues, behavioral concerns while considering the possible impact of physical conditions known to affecting behavioral health and well-being.
Serves as an escalation resource to assist other well-being advisors in need of assistance with their counseling responsibilities.
Schedules and conducts consultative counseling appointments (in person at the employers workplace, in clinic, by Skype, or by phone)
Utilizes a client management platform to maintain history and notes on interactions
Creates aggregate reports to share with internal program leadership and account manager.
Facilitates case management, crisis intervention, problem-solving, supportive counseling, psychoeducation, informational and referral services, and other general mental health interventions to assist employees and family members in reaching their defined well-being goals.
Facilitates employee outreach programs and partners with the account manager and employer leadership on engagement strategies to promote use of the service.
Assists employees and families through expert knowledge of community and EAP resources including financial, legal and referral to specialty behavioral health services.
Collects and measures participant satisfaction and quality effectiveness through monthly data reporting statistics. Compiles and shares data with account manager.
Quickly establishes relationships and build rapport with employer leaders and staff.
Promotes the program within the employer organization and partners with the employer leadership to enhance the program and recommend strategies to help increase utilization and participation and achieve the goals of the employer.
Continually matures knowledge of effective management of behavioral health and workplace well-being. Complies with and promotes program policies and procedures of the employer and Fairview EAP and Fairview Behavioral Health.

Masters Degree in Social Work or other mental health related field of study.
Three or more years of recent mental health experience within an employer or EAP setting.
Experience providing individual, couples, family therapy
Current Minnesota licensure as a LICSW, LMFT, or LPCC
Reliable transportation, a vaild MN driver's license (or license that matches your permanent address) and adequate auto insurance
Basic computer skills.
Ability to work variable hours based on client needs. Possibility of 1-2 evenings per week to meet clients needs.
Two or more years of clinical and/or diagnostic experience within the mental health care field.
Previous or current experience in supporting a Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion team in a workplace setting.
