The Medical Foster Home Program at STVHCS provides an alternative to nursing home placement for dependent Veterans with limited family support who prefer a community setting for their long-term care. The Medical Foster Home Program combines 24 Hour supervised housing in a specialized Community Residential Care setting with health care provided by the Home Based Primary Care Program (HBPC), Spinal Cord Injury Home Care Team or the Intensive Community Mental Health Recovery (ICMHR) program. Applicants pending the completion of educational or certification/licensure requirements may be referred and tentatively selected but may not be hired until all requirements are met.
