The role you’ll contribute:
The Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) Program Director will serve as the program's strategic, academic, and operational leader through development, implementation, and evaluation of the ASN curriculum and accreditation standards (reports, assessment, etc.). Under the direction of the ASN and BSN Vice-Chair, the ASN Program Director will develop, design, and deliver instruction in courses, participates in student advising and mentoring, and engages in the academic roles of teaching, service, scholarship, and research. In addition to faculty responsibilities, the coordinator is responsible for administration, and coordinating clinical placement for the nursing courses, as well as the supervision and evaluation of student progress. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful and equitable to all.

Recruitment and Admissions: Recruit faculty for the ASN program.
Participate in student recruitment
Collaborates with University Admissions team to communicate admissions requirements, updates, and review of applicants
Facilitates articulation and MOU agreements in collaboration with HR and Provost
Students:
Ensures that appropriate standards of conduct are maintained and that students develop concepts of professional ethics and responsibility
Assures completion of student course records
Consults with team members regarding student progress
Ensures that students are advised and counseled on matters pertaining to their scholastic and professional progress, verbally, electronically, and in writing
Plans appropriate remedial program in collaboration with course faculty
Collaborates with course faculty regarding clinical and simulation activities
Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Academic doctoral degree (DNP or PhD in Nursing)
Three years of experience in teaching in nursing undergraduate programs
Three years of experience in developing nursing undergraduate programs
Three years clinical experience
Current, unencumbered, multistate license to practice as a registered nurse
Current CPR certification from the American Heart Association, FIT, PPD, Flu documentation
Physical and mental health at a level required to meet the demands of the job
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:
Five years of experience in clinical nursing, preferably acute care setting
Five years successful teaching experience
Knowledgeable of current trends in area of expertise, management, teaching, and learning theories
Knowledge of online resources and learning platforms
Ability to establish working relationships with students, colleagues, administration, and the Community
Knowledge of accreditation standards for Nursing Education (ACEN, NLN)
