The Manager of Behavioral Health coordinates programs and operational activities for behavioral health services provided to patients and members. The Manager helps with behavioral health clinical development and operations for patients and members across all lines of business. The Manager will help implementation, maintenance and evaluation of behavioral health program metrics and outcomes under the supervision of the Director. Works in partnership with other departments and ensures delivery of consumer centric behavioral health interventions resulting in improved patient and member outcomes. This is a remote position.
SALARY
The pay range for this position is $36.26 (entry-level qualifications) - $56.19(highly experienced). The specific rate will depend upon the successful candidate's specific qualifications and prior experience.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE ROLE
Provides direct clinical and administrative supervision to licensed behavioral health clinical and non-clinical staff. Accountable for hiring, scheduling, developing and evaluating staff to help case management and utilization management services for patients and members. Maintains adequate team members for coverage in times of regular staff non-availability. Monitors accuracy of utilization review process to cut potential for variance days.
Promotes, coordinates and supervises the staff development process; validates aptitude of staff, provides mandatory training, monitors current licensure, and fosters synergy and cooperation between programs and services.
Supervises the treatment planning and the provision of the care process. Oversees comprehensive documentation of interdisciplinary participation and patient response.
May give services to include direct nursing care, psychotherapy, member case management and/or utilization review during periods of staff shortages or high acuity.
Consults with Director and/or designee and other departments about behavioral health issues.
Develops, establishes and monitors policies, procedures and processes to meet regulatory, legal and accreditation requirements. Monitors delivery of culturally delicate and inclusive interventions initiated by behavioral health staff.
Implements and monitors the effectiveness of behavioral health services. Works to improve processes, services, patient satisfaction, physician satisfaction and employee satisfaction on a regular cadence. Helps the corporate compliance program by adhering to the best practices and standards stated in the Corporate Code of Conduct and Code of Ethical Behavior.
Communicates effectively with the Director, Medical Director and Clinical Director. Works cooperatively with all departments and disciplines. Runs unit community meetings as required.
Ensures that project, department milestones and goals are met, while adhering to approved budgets.
