The Student Health Care Center at the University of Florida is seeking a psychiatrist to join the Student Health psychiatry team which includes MDs and psychiatric APRNs. The position is a full-time (1.0 FTE) College of Medicine faculty position and will be at the forefront of providing comprehensive psychiatric care to UF students facing diverse mental health challenges including general mental health disorders, multicultural concerns, trauma, eating disorders, substance abuse and gender/sexual minority issues. The Student Health Care Center is fully accredited by the AAAHC and is a comprehensive medical facility that offers primary care, sports medicine and acute care, gynecology, nutrition, immunization and allergy services along with a full pharmacy, lab, x-ray and ECG services. The facility is a brand new 46,000 square foot platinum WELL certified building located on UF’s main campus.
The candidate’s impact will extend beyond direct student care as collaboration with various campus entities is integral to our mission to help every student achieve optimal health in the pursuit of personal and academic success. As a faculty member in the College of Medicine, the candidate has the option of contributing to its educational mission by participating in medical education, however this is not a requirement.
